We have a local spot where in the bush a morepork family reside. Previously I have reported on a family we found a couple of years ago, mum and dad, with three babies. Well, the parents stay around the same area, and in five visits over the last week they have been sleeping in the same spot. Twice while I was there, they changed trees, and flew close past me. I was again reminded of their silent flight ability, this being the reason some call them the "silent predator of the night."
