Paul Gibson has been a photographer for many years, and in 2004 he published his first book. This book was the result of a request from the local Whitcoulls shop for a pictorial on Wanganui because of the frequent request from locals and tourists. This first small pictorial was a big success, so subsequent books have followed and more are planned. Paul, along with his wife Jane, works in an accountancy practice (now semi-retired), but much of his spare time finds him out in the field with his camera, especially in the gathering of photos for books like ‘BIRDS New Zealand’.
