Harriers - Drive-by shooting

A harrier is a hard bird to photograph, despite being common and widespread. They are very timid, and don't allow close approach. We often see them sitting on fence posts by the road, but as soon as you stop for a photo, within two seconds, they fly. However, in the last few weeks I have had some success, but doing drive-by photography. I prepare the camera settings, have the camera already out the window, and pass by at about 20 km an hour. Once I was able to approach the bird by waiting until a line of traffic was passing, and snuck in behind them, and when they were past the harrier was still there. So, some great pictures, even getting one where I was so close I could not fit the bird in the frame.
